Taking a little walk in Memphis this evening, I was amazed to discover The Levitt Shell based in Overton Park. It's a really amazing structure, built in a little amphitheatre that has a really authentic atmosphere of times gone by. I'm told that Elvis played his first paying show here, so the ghost of Elvis really does follow you everywhere you go in Memphis! I know that it also features on the cover of Big Star's Nobody Can Dance album cover, too. The picture here isn't great, but it captures something of the mood about the place.
